We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

We’re Scouts and everyone is welcome here. We prepare young people with skills for life, by encouraging them to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we help half a million young people enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. Fancy it?

Welcome to Walkham Valley Scout Group

Walkham Valley Scout Group is based in Yelverton where we have a purpose-built hut in a spacious field behind St Paul’s Church Hall.

We have Squirrels (for 4-6 year olds), Beavers (for 6-8 year olds), Cubs (for 8-10 year olds) and Scouts (for 10-14 year olds), beyond which we feed into West Devon Explorer Scouts (for 14-18 year olds).

Being situated within Dartmoor National Park gives us such a wonderful setting to get stuck into the outdoors, and our team of volunteers certainly make the most of it!
